How to do liver puncture

2. The puncture point is generally the 8th and 9th intercostal space of the right midaxillary line

3. Disinfect the local skin and perform local anesthesia with 2% lidocaine from the skin to the liver capsule.

4. Prepare a quick puncture trocar

5. First, use a three-edged needle to puncture the skin of the puncture point, and from this hole, puncture the puncture needle by 0.5-1.0cm perpendicular to the upper edge of the rib and the chest wall. Then push out 0.5-1.0ml of saline in the syringe.

6. Draw the syringe to a negative pressure and keep it, and at the same time instruct the patient to inhale first, and then hold his breath at the end of deep exhalation (the patient should be allowed to practice before surgery), and then the surgeon quickly pierces the puncture needle into the liver and immediately draw out. The total puncture depth does not exceed 6.0cm.

7. Press the wound with sterile gauze for 5-10 minutes immediately after pulling out the needle, then fix it with adhesive tape, and fasten it with a high elastic abdominal belt.
