How is abdominal fluid treated?

Nov 09, 2022

If there is a large amount of abdominal effusion, obvious abdominal distension, abdominal pain, or even affects the movement of the diaphragm, and respiratory restriction occurs, abdominal puncture tube drainage under local anesthesia can be selected. At the same time, it is also necessary to improve the relevant tests and examinations of fluid accumulation, because some patients are caused by infection and need systematic anti-infection treatment. In clinical practice, the most common effusion caused by malignant tumors and the most important malignant tumors of the liver are prone to hemorrhagic effusion. Drainage tubes can be indwelled for controlled drainage. Human blood albumin and plasma should be supplemented intravenously to improve the colloid osmotic pressure of tissues and reduce the generation rate of effusion. Diuretics can also be applied intravenously to reduce the edema of limbs. For malignant tumors, systemic intravenous chemotherapy can also be used to control the development of the tumor if the patient's condition permits.
