How does injection needle hit

IM (intramuscular injection) is usually injected into a muscle in a 90-degree vertical position with a long needle inserted about two-thirds of the way through the skin and pumped backwards into the center (no blood). Usually the dose is higher than IV, but the time of action is slower than IV.
