There is a slight resistance at the 10cm point, indicating that the catheter has reached the oblique opening of the needle tip. Push it with a little force, and the catheter will enter the epidural space, and it will continue to enter the epidural space slowly for 3-4cm and then stop. When the epidural needle is pulled out, the needle is withdrawn by moving the left wrist joint, and the catheter is fixed with the right hand. The direction of the oblique opening of the needle tip should not be changed during the needle extraction process, and it is better to move slightly in an arc, otherwise the catheter will be easily taken out or cut off.
