Effect of fine needle aspiration on patients with low back pain after lumbar anesthesia

Objective To observe the effect of fine needle aspiration on patients with low back pain after lumbar anesthesia. Methods 200 inpatients undergoing lumbar anesthesia were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 100 cases in each group. The control group received epidural puncture needle and lumbar anesthesia needle "needle within needle" method for lumbar anesthesia, while the experimental group received fine needle lumbar anesthesia puncture method for lumbar anesthesia. The incidence and pain degree of low back pain after lumbar anesthesia were observed and compared. Results The number of patients with low back pain after lumbar anesthesia in experimental group was less than that in control group, and the score of pain degree was lower than that in control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Fine needle aspiration can significantly reduce the incidence of low back pain after lumbar anesthesia.
