Does it hurt to do one-time bone marrow puncture needle?

It's not as painful as you think. You need a local anesthetic first. It just feels numb and swollen or sour.

It won't be too long, about twenty minutes.

No need to stay in bed after that.

In adults, the posterior superior iliac spine is usually pierced. It's just above the hips. No need for hospitalization!

Most puncture on the iliac crest, but also on the manubrium sternum or vertebral spinous process, but rare!

About 30 minutes, the risk is very low, can only count as a small operation, but the need for family members or my signature!

An injection of anesthesia, and then use a special bone piercing needle to extract the bone marrow. This location is relatively safe, with little or no damage to the nerve, because there are only some cauda equina - nerve endings in the bone marrow at this location. If you touch these cauda equina, you will feel pain.
