Neurolysis is a kind of surgery to treat the symptoms caused by nerve entrapment, scar formation around the nerve, and binding of the nerve. It can be divided into extronervation and intronervation. The specific surgical procedures of neurolysis are as follows:
1. Extraneuronal release: relatively common. Scar formation around the nerve due to trauma, surgery and other factors, so that the outside of the nerve is trapped, thus affecting the nerve function, or due to nerve stimulation, so that the patient has pain in the innervation area. The site of nerve entrapment was fully exposed under the microscope, and the scar tissue around the nerve was cut and excised through careful separation under the microscope, so as to fully release the bondage of scar around the nerve. The operation can be performed under electrophysiological monitoring, which can significantly improve the safety of the operation.
2. Intranerve release: In addition to patients with adhesion around nerves, there are also scars forming inside nerves and between nerve bundles. Intranerve decompression is needed, and the scar between nerve bundles can be removed through nerve carding or careful separation to effectively remove the compression and adhesion inside nerves, which is helpful for the recovery of nerve function.
