Clinical application of CT guided biopsy gun for renal puncture

Objective: To investigate the application of CT guided biopsy gun in renal puncture. Methods: 14 patients with nephropathy were treated with biopsy gun under CT location. Biopsy gun used 18-16C automatic TRU-cut needle, needle core groove 20mm length is the best. The subrenal puncture target was selected. Results: Percutaneous renal biopsy was successful in all 14 cases, and sufficient pathological tissue blocks were obtained in all the tissues. At least 5 glomerulus were obtained, and the maximum was 20, with an average of 12.5 glomerulus. No serious complications occurred. Conclusion :CT, as a new guiding device, can clearly display the organs in the retroperitoneal cavity, while the biopsy gun can take more tissue pieces and fewer complications. The combination of CT and BIOPSY gun can be an ideal renal puncture method.
