The anesthetics go from the skin, subcutaneously, and directly to the periosteum on the surface of the bone, so the puncture will not bring pain to the patient. A skilled operator can usually complete it in more than ten minutes, so there is no need to worry. The puncture site is not suitable for cleaning (including bathing) for two to three days after the sterile dressing is applied locally to avoid local infection.
