Bone marrow biopsy/aspiration needle

Bone marrow biopsy needles can be used to draw bone marrow and obtain core biopsy samples. The Ranfac bone marrow biopsy needle is composed of an inner stylet, an outer tube with a handle, and graduated etched marks separated by 1 cm. It has a probe guide and a marking probe. The labeled probe helps to extract the bone marrow sample from the needle, and the probe guide helps to insert the labeled probe into the distal end of the needle and then advance it forward to move and expel the sample through the needle handle. Each needle has a Luer cap to prevent backflow of blood during needle insertion.

Some bone marrow biopsy needle models also have a stainless steel bone marrow extraction cannula (designed with a canoe or forceps), which can be installed in the needle to assist in the collection and retrieval of specimens. These models are equipped with two needle pliers to cover the needle and the needle before handling.
