Nov 21, 2022
1. Cytological or etiological tests can assist in the diagnosis of related diseases causing lymph node enlargement, such as infection (bacterial, viral, fungal, insect), tuberculosis, leukemia, lymphoma, malignant group, metastatic cancer, etc.
2. Procedure: Select the swollen lymph nodes suitable for puncture → routine disinfection of the skin and fingers of the surgeon → fix the lymph nodes with the left finger and thumb → puncture the lymph nodes along the long axis of the lymph nodes with the right hand and dry the syringe with an 18-19 gauge needle needle → pull the needle while pumping the needle → remove the syringe and inflate it, then pump the blood inside the needle and spray it onto the smear to make even slides. Staining microscopy → The postoperative cover was fixed with sterile gauze and tape.
3. Notes: ① It is best to puncture the iliac anterior, so as not to have too much lipids, which will affect the smear ② If the aspirate cannot be extracted, the needle can be continuously punctured in different directions ③ Pay attention to the selection of larger lymph nodes, and away from the large blood vessels ④ pay attention to the characteristics of the aspirate before the smear
