Jan 04, 2023

In recent years, due to the progress of basic medicine, imaging, clinical research, and internal and surgical treatment (including organ transplantation), the understanding of liver diseases has become deeper and deeper. Among them, liver pathology plays a pivotal role. Liver pathology is the cornerstone of understanding liver diseases. The concept and classification of liver diseases are also based on morphological characteristics. Up to now, percutaneous liver biopsy is still regarded as the most important traumatic examination means in clinical hepatology, and the description of the microscopic characteristics of the specimens obtained is the most direct observation of the pathological process occurring in the patient. Therefore, in order to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of various liver diseases in our hospital, as well as to cooperate with the scientific research work of our hospital, liver puncture biopsy is now carried out. Liverbiopsy is a simple means of taking liver tissue samples in biopsy. Histological examination of the tissue blocks obtained from the puncture is made into a smear for cytological examination to identify hepatomegaly of unknown origin and certain hematological diseases.
There are many puncture methods for liver tissue biopsy, such as general liver puncture, trocar puncture, lobulated needle incision, rapid liver puncture, etc. These methods have advantages and disadvantages, the first three are more likely to cause liver damage or bleeding; The latter is a suction biopsy needle, more safe, for clinical use.
