5. Renal biopsy may be considered for patients with hematuria who have not established a diagnosis after various tests have excluded non-glomerular hematuria. Renal biopsy should be performed for patients with persistent hematuria without clinical manifestations, hematuria with proteinuria, and 24-hour urinary protein quantity greater than 1 gram.

6. For patients with long duration of pure proteinuria without any symptoms, renal biopsy can be used to determine the pathological type, which is conducive to medication and prognosis.

7. Renal biopsy can be performed to help diagnose lupus nephritis, renal hypertension, acute renal failure, and chronic renal failure of unknown cause.
