Hypo tubes are generally made from 300 series stainless steel tubing, commonly 304 stainless steel (1.4301) and also in 316 (1.4401), 17-7PH (AMS 5528) and Nitinol.

There are many different laser cutting patterns on different hypo tubes (304,316L,Ni-Ti,L605 etc.) for all kinds of endoscopic devices for cardiovascular and urinary applications, like Continuous Spiral Cut Pattern, Bespoke Cut Patterns, Interrupted Spiral Cut Patterns and Radial Cut Patterns, etc.

Laser cut hypo tubes are generally adopted in delivery systems for minimally invasive interventions because of the combination of push, trackability, torque and kink resistance. These performance characteristics have made the hypo tube as the preferred choice for percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty procedure applications.
