The device provides stabilization and fixation of spinal segments as an adjunct to fusion therapy for the following acute and chronic instability or malformations:
Indications (1) trauma (i.e. fracture or dislocation),
(2) curvature (scoliosis, kyphosis and/or lordosis),
(3) Spinal tumor,
(4) Previous fusion failure,
(5) Pseudojoint,
(6) Spinal canal stenosis. It is not suitable for pedicle screw fixation above T8.
Contraindications 1. Patients with severe osteoporosis;
2. Sensitive patients with known or suspected implant materials;
3. Out-of-control behavior;
4. Metabolic and immune disorders;
5. Spinal cord or nerve injury;
6. Other patients who have been clinically determined not to be suitable for intra-spinal surgery.
