Conventional internal and lateral approach of patellar tendon was taken. Part of hypertrophic synovial tissue was dissected under microscope. The joint was irrigated with a large amount of normal saline to remove painful materials in the joint, and to remove exfoliated, separated and unstable cartilage debris.
