1, cast iron engine, heat resistance and pressure resistance

This advantage also allows the cast iron engine to withstand higher heat load, which is very helpful for the improvement of engine power.

2, all aluminum engine, relatively poor heat resistance, good heat dissipation

Compared with cast iron engines, all-aluminum engines are made of aluminum alloy, which is much better than cast iron in terms of heat dissipation due to the characteristics of aluminum alloy. Although less resistant to high temperatures, all-aluminum engines do a better job of radiating heat. However, to withstand higher thermal loads, all-aluminum engines require more volume than cast iron, which makes for less room in a car's engine compartment.

3, cast iron engine, strong corrosion resistance, relatively low cost

And then cast iron engines are cheaper, they're much cheaper to manufacture than all aluminum engines, and they use spherical graphite, which is easier to shape and cheaper.

4, all aluminum engine, lighter

Compared with cast iron engines with the same performance, all-aluminum engines weigh less than cast iron engines, which is one of the main reasons why cars use all-aluminum engines. What are the benefits of an all-aluminum engine's light weight? According to relevant studies, every 10% reduction in the weight of a car, fuel consumption can be reduced by 6% ~ 8%. This advantage is obvious. The all-aluminum engine is about 20kg lighter than the cast iron engine, which is a great improvement for the fuel economy of the vehicle.
