Lumbar puncture needle has many uses. Lumbar puncture needle is a diagnostic technique to guide the needle to the subarachnoid space of the spinal cord to collect cerebrospinal fluid after diagnosis. It is often used for routine and biochemical examination of cerebrospinal fluid to assist the diagnosis of central nervous system diseases and so on, and is one of the commonly used diagnostic techniques in neurology department. It can be used to diagnose various inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system, vascular diseases, myelopathy, suspected intracranial space occupying lesions, nervous system diseases with unknown diagnosis and Qi brain, which can be summarized as:

1. Cerebrospinal fluid was tested.

2. Measure brain pressure to know the level of intracranial pressure.

3. Cerebrospinal fluid dynamics examination was performed.

4. Spinal cord or pneumoencephalogram was performed.
