Puncture Needle Embedding Method

Routinely disinfect the local skin. Take a piece of sterilized sheep’s gut about 1 to 2 cm in length with forceps, place it on the front end of the lumbar puncture needle tube, and then connect the needle core. Tighten the thumb and index finger of the left hand or lift the skin of the needle in the right hand. The needle is pierced to the required depth. When the needle feel appears, push the needle core while withdrawing the needle tube, bury the catgut in the subcutaneous tissue or muscle layer of the acupoint, and cover the needle hole with sterile gauze.

　　 You can also use No. 9 injection needle as a cannula, and a 28-gauge 2-inch-long needle is used to cut the needle as a needle core. Put 1 to 1.5 cm of No. 00 catgut into the needle to bury the acupuncture points. The operation method is the same as before.

When embedding the thread with a special embedding needle, after disinfecting the local skin, use 0.5-1% procaine hydrochloride as infiltration anesthesia, cut a section of the catgut (about 1 cm long), and put it on the notch of the embedding needle. Clamp the two ends with vascular forceps, hold the needle in the right hand and the forceps in the left hand, and pierce the needle tip in a direction of 15°～40° downwards. When the needle is completely buried under the skin, insert the needle 0.5 cm, and then withdraw the needle with cotton The ball or gauze presses the pinhole for a while, and then covers it with gauze to protect the wound.
