Embedding Needle Operation Technology

① The patient lies on the prone or supine position, exposing the required embedding position.

② Disinfect local skin with 75% alcohol or iodophor.

③ Prepare needles and thread. Tweezers take a section of catgut or polymer nanocrystalline silk thread and place it on the front end of the needle tube of the embedding needle, and push the thread into the needle tube with the forceps. Note that the thread body must be completely inserted into the needle and not exposed outside the needle tip.

④ Depending on the location of the needle, the thumb and index finger of the left hand should be tightened or the skin of the needle should be lifted, and the needle should be held in the right to quickly penetrate into the skin. According to the anatomical characteristics of the acupuncture point, further extend to the appropriate depth of the acupuncture point.

⑤ After getting the sense of needle, push the needle core and withdraw the needle tube, and insert the thread into the subcutaneous tissue or muscle layer of the acupoint.

⑥ After the needle is taken out, immediately press the needle hole with a dry cotton swab for a while, and apply a medical infusion patch.

Continue to the next acupuncture point.

After the embedding operation is completed, let the patient rest on the bed for a while before leaving, and inform the patient of the precautions after embedding.
