Abdominal Puncture

Abdominal puncture is a technique in which a puncture needle or catheter is inserted directly from the anterior abdominal wall into the peritoneal cavity to extract abdominal fluid to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This technique is a simple method to determine the presence of ascites and identify the nature of ascites, which can be divided into diagnostic and therapeutic peritoneal puncture.
