Red copper is natural copper. It is soft and not suitable for making tools. Therefore, humans in the Red Copper Age still mainly used stone tools. Egypt, Mesopotamia and other places entered the Red Bronze Age around 4000 BC. There are different opinions about when China entered the Red Bronze Age. Some scholars believe that the Longshan culture belongs to the Red Bronze Age, while others believe that China did not experience the Red Bronze Age.
